The Brainmachine is an installation involving 27 incandescent lightbulbs in a completely dark room and a hidden subwoofer emitting low frequency waves. The installation is controlled in real-time by an EEG monitor that is reading my brainwaves. The waves are sent to an algorithm that translates them into sound and light.  The idea here is to remove any interpretive layers between the artist and the viewer and directly transfer the emotional state of the artist to the viewer. When the viewer is exposed to the synchronous waves of light and sound, his/her brain will empathetically adjust to those frequencies. This, theoretically, allows the viewer to experience the same emotion as the artist in real time.
